Thom's Commentary: A bigger, faster telephoto portrait lens that is even better than the already excellent f/1.8 S version. Marvelously so in many respects. If you're looking for that little bit extra flexibility with the focus plane and one of the nicest shifts from focus to out of focus ever, this might be your lens. But it's big, heavy, and expensive.
