Here in the US, a large shipment of products hit dealers this week, so I thought I'd give you a broad view of where I believe things stand on deliveries of Z-related products:
- Z5, Z6, Z7, Z50 cameras, including kits: basically in stock. Reasonable supply available, though some dealers may have short-term sellouts of some SKUs as they try to keep their inventories to a minimum during the pandemic.
- f/1.8 primes: mostly in stock, the 85mm being the most limited, and which goes on back order from time to time. Overall, a reasonable supply is available, though some dealers may have short-term sellouts as they try to keep their inventories to a minimum during the pandemic.
- DX lenses: mostly in stock. Some very short term supply disruptions, as Z7 users are starting to discover that these are useful walkabout lenses for them. But new batches of these lenses seem to come quickly to dealers.
- 14-30mm f/4, 24-70mm f/4: basically in stock. Reasonable supply available, though some dealers may have short-term sellouts as they try to keep their inventories to a minimum during the pandemic.
- 24-70mm f/2.8: basically in stock. Reasonable supply available, though some dealers may have short-term sellouts as they try to keep their inventories to a minimum during the pandemic.
- 70-200mm f/2.8: completely out of stock. The first shipment mostly went to NPS priority purchase orders. It appears there will be another small shipment to dealers soon, but I don't think it will come close to filling backorders, and once the reviews hit for this lens, I'm pretty sure it will be in longer term backorder status for awhile.
- 24-200mm f/4-6.3: mostly out of stock. As new batches enter the US, they mostly go to people on wait lists, though each shipment a few "extras" seem to be appear and you might get lucky with careful timing. You also might get this lens by buying a Z5+24-200mm package at the moment from some dealers, but I think those will sell out quickly.
- 58mm f/0.95: basically special order. No one really "stocks" this lens at the moment, and it is made in very small quantities. So you have to order it and wait.
- TC 1.4x and TC 2.0x: unclear. NPS priority purchase orders were filled with the initial shipment, but it's unclear how many additional units are/will be available. I predict these to be mostly out of stock once the 70-200mm f/2.8 starts getting into more hands.
- FTZ adapter: mostly in stock. Some very short term supply disruptions, as Nikon provides more and more Z camera options and sales increase.
- WR-R10 set: mostly out of stock. As new batches enter the US, they mostly go to people on wait lists, though each shipment seems to have few "extras". The problem is that shipments are few and far between as far as I can tell.
- MB-N10 Battery Pack: plentiful supply.
- EN-EL15, EN-EL15B: plentiful supply.
- EN-EL15C: mostly out of stock. As usual, small accessories tend to be back-ordered when they first appear.
- EN-EL25: mostly out of stock. As usual, small accessories tend to be back-ordered when they first appear.
- EH-5D/EP-5B AC adapter set: mostly out of stock.
- EH-7P USB charger: out of stock. Not only out of stock, but removed from a lot of dealer databases. A very serious mistake by Nikon at a time when more people are using their cameras continuously (video, Web cam). As some have noted, you can generally use any 15W USB charger, as long as you have the correct cable that supports PD. Still, the fact that Nikon promotes—it's in the manual folks—and produces a solution but it's not readily available is a sign of just how disorganized the accessories teams are at Nikon.
