Thom's Commentary: Nikon’s most serious DX lens to date, effectively a fast aperture ~35mm equivalent prime that’s appropriately DX sized. As you'd expect from a simple prime of this focal length, it's optically very good; good enough to find a place in all Z System DX users' bags. That said, it just misses my giving an outright recommendation to it. To find out why: Read Thom's review of the 24mm f/1.7 DX lens
