Firmware Updates for the Z6 and Z7 models (I and II)

Nikon has updated the original Z6 and Z7 to firmware 3.60, with the only real change being support for the MC-N10 Remote Grip.

The Z6 II and Z7 II received functional updates to version 1.60:

  • Custom Setting #D9 gets the Always/Only when flash is not used option from the Z8/Z9.
  • Custom Setting #D10, Warm display colors was added to match the Z8/Z9.
  • Custom Setting #D11, Image frame was added to match the Z8/Z9.
  • Custom Setting #G7 now allows you set a tally light on the display when recording video.
  • SETUP now includes the Z8/Z9 Finder display size (photo Lv).
  • Prioritize viewfinder now gets the (1) and (2) options from the Z8/Z9.
  • Three known bugs were fixed.

Note that the Z6 II and Z7 II received a Supplemental Firmware Update Manual, which describes the new features in versions 1.50 and 1.60.
