Last Week’s Z News Shorts (July 21-28) 2

As an experiment, I’ve started accumulating “small” news announcements into a once-a-week story. This helps me be a little more productive and seems to align with the way most people are coming to this site (once or twice a week, but every week). Here’s last week’s “small” news relating to the Z System:

  • Nikon introduced firmware 1.41 for the Zfc camera, which fixed a focusing issue.
  • Tamron made a development announcement for the 35-150mm f/2-2.8 lens in the Z-mount (the lens already exists in the Sony FE mount; see my review of the 35-150mm f/2-2.8).
  • The Nikon 70-180mm started shipping in the US last Friday (it shipped in other countries earlier), and is now available.
  • Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve version 18.5 was released out of beta. This is one of the few programs that directly support Z8/Z9 .NEV files (8K Nikon RAW).
