Z5 Gets a Firmware Update

Nikon released version 1.40 firmware for the Z5 camera that includes the following:

  • Added support for NX MobileAir, MC-N10 grips, and ML-L7 remote controls.
  • Eye detection focus is now available when recording video. Eye detection performance was improved overall. 
  • Focus points in the viewfinder refresh faster for Subject tracking and all eye detection modes.
  • Added button customization support for Save focus position and Recall focus position for lenses that support it.
  • The usual bug fixes.

As usual, the update is available on Nikon’s global update site.
